If you’re looking for a way to say thank you to someone special in a unique, delicious way, you need to see what the Chocolate Pizza Company has to offer.
Expressing gratitude has never been easier than when you send our Combo Thank You Chocolate Pizza and Peanut Butter Wings. Hand-decorated and with your choice of border and flavor, this gift is as delicious as it is fun.
The Combo Thank You Chocolate Pizza comes with our signature Chocolate Pizza made from either a blend of milk or dark chocolate and homemade English toffee. Next, it’s trimmed with either a nut (pecans, almonds and walnuts), colorful chocolate candy or an avalanche border. This last option costs a bit more, but it shows the recipient how much you truly appreciate everything they have done for you.
Not only will they get a delicious Chocolate Pizza with a tasty border, but Thank You wishes will be scripted in white chocolate. The pizza will then be sealed in cellophane and served in a custom pizza box.
Peanut Butter Wings Add Something Special
To make the gift even more amazing, you also get our famous Peanut Butter Wings. These crisp, rippled potato chips covered in creamy peanut butter and drenched in chocolate are delectable and hard to resist.
We take our time when it comes to creating our Wings because we want you to know just how much we care – and you can share that same sentiment with the person you send this thank you gift to.
Peanut butter is spread on each chip, one at a time – it’s not the fastest way to make them, just the best. They then travel under a curtain of chocolate and down a long cooling tunnel before being sealed and boxed. Combined with the Chocolate Pizza, they create a one-of-a-kind Pizza and Wings Combo that expresses decadence and fun.
Pizza and Wings Have Been Around for a While
While the idea of a gourmet chocolate version of “Pizza & Wings” is unique to Chocolate Pizza Company, the roots of those two concepts stretch back quite far.
The first recorded use of the term “pizza” was in the central Italian region of Gaeta in 997 AD. Based on an ancient flatbread, it was topped with simple herbs and cheese. Pizza came to the shores of America in the late 19th century, brought here by Italian immigrants. The first printed reference to pizza appeared in the Boston Journal in 1904.
“Wings” or “chicken wings,” as we refer to them today, were developed in Buffalo, New York, in 1964 at the Anchor Bar owned by Teressa and Frank Bellissimo. Typically, the “wing” portion of the chicken was considered worthless and usually discarded or dropped in a pot to make chicken stock.
According to the Smithsonian, the generally accepted narrative was that the wings were delivered to the bar one day by mistake. Instead of using them in their spaghetti sauce, Frank and Teressa created a bar appetizer by splitting them into “drumsticks” and “flats.” They also coated the wings in a homemade hot sauce of cayenne and butter. The bar snack became an instant hit and customers immediately began ordering pizza with a side of wings – the “Pizza & Wings Combo” was born.
A Lot of People Love Our Pizza and Wings
Our Wings are born of that same satisfying feeling. A writer for Fancy Food & Culinary Products blog (9-23-16) had this to say when they first tasted our Peanut Butter Wings:
“It’s a fantastically rich experience that make your eyes pop out a little when you realize what you’ve gotten yourself into. Half way through one chip and I melted; all the stresses of the day faded and it was just me and my wings for a blissful 2 minutes. Then I sinned: I got up to have another. So that’s 4 minutes. OK, and then another. Count ’em, 6 minutes of true bliss …”
The Chocolate Pizza and Peanut Butter Wings have been featured on a variety of national media outlets such as the Food Network’s hit show Unwrapped, NBC’s Today Show, ABC News and Food Factory, which aired on Food Network Canada.
Whether you are looking to say thank you to a business associate, friend or family member, the Combo Thank You Chocolate Pizza and Wings is a gourmet chocolate gift that expresses your gratitude in a sweet, delicious way.
